Apologies for lack of recent posts, will try to get some more up. Latest box of halves did not yield any shiny silver but did yield 8 cracked dies along with a handful of NIFCs. The (2) 1996 Halves were interesting as they show the crack progression as one has the beginnings of the die crack and the other shows how the crack made its way to the rim. These look to be in the same location that Port Ewen Ace was finding his crack :)

1 - Obverse of all 8

2- Reverse of all 8

3- 1972D Reverse from L through to R onto rim

4-1998P Obverse from base of neck to rim

6-1995P Obverse from base of neck to rim

7-1996P Obverse beginnings of a crack base of neck

Thanks for looking!

YUP, '95 to '02 so far. very grateful for the lack of quality at Philly. just sold a lot of 6 of these for $9.50 today. other HQ's sold in $2.50 area. only save the AU/MS. qtr box so far 22 rolls in---5 Eagle cracks & 5 State cracks. the best is this fire breathing horsie---

NICE fire breather! That is a really nice find. Wow, $9.50 you say...Ebay I'm guessing. I honestly have to say your posts alone have truly opened up my eyes to what I can do with CRHing. I was strictly a silver searcher and would keep the odd die crack here or there that would REALLY stand out. Did not really think there was a market for the die cracks/cuds, etc that I look for now. Wish to thank you again for bringing this to my attention.

only here to help others --------it's what I do-----

just wish I could save 15% or more on car insurance :BangHead::laughing7:

I often get coins like that 98-P that have a die crack from the rim to the bust. I only save the most severe.

Just goes to show why they really have no value to a true collector. They're just so common! Now extreme cracks are a different matter, but people on eBay want to waste their money I suppose.

Don't expect to get rich selling die cracks on ebay. You would make more money getting a minimum wage job. But if you enjoy looking at coins with magnifying glasses or loupes looking for tiny errors then go for it.

Lol. Never expected to get rich from CRHing or Metal Detecting. Its what I do on my down time. Was just always a silver searcher until I joined this forum and posters like P.E.A opened my eyes to the other possibilities that can be found CRHing. I find that it makes the typical coin roll search more fun to try and spot the odd crack or double die, etc and I'm glad to see that there is a market to offload the specimens that I find that are not extreme enough to keep for myself. Doesn't take much time to set aside, snap a few pics and post to sell.

once again-----YUP!!
