Non Plated Cent?

If this is a true unplated penny, I have CopperCrazy to thank. Until his post about him finding one, I had never heard of it.

What are your thoughts? I have dug enough zincolns Metal detecting to know this is not ground wear. Also, notice the perfect symmetrical circle on obverse. The side pic is to show the rim is plated.

I've had the advice to weigh it, and then after that if it is indeed underweight, I would check with a loupe for corrosion if that's possible after that take it to your LCS see what they say and then, if they think it is genuine send it into ANACs for $20.
 
I don't know much on errors, but I would personally have tossed that in with the rest of pennies to return to the bank... I hope it is the real deal for you though!
