Hello All,

I have never metal detected before, but it has always interested me. Let me qualify that last statement. I had a $40 metal detector from Walmart years ago. For about 2 months before it broke.

I live in Myrtle Beach now, so thought about sand detecting with the kids. (22, 20, and 15).

Corey, First thing you need to do if your going to search the beaches is get you some black socks and flip flops, or knee high rubber boots, even if its a hundred degrees out. A huge floppy hat, a plaid shirts and wore out shorts. Start talking to yourself, sneer at everyone that walks by and NEVER yield to someone walking towards you. Apparently that's what the rest of the world thinks of use beach combers. enjoy the time with your kids, that's more valuable than anything you will find, unless it's chest full of gold coins then it would how be much you like your kids. Just kidding... sort of
