Hi Folks,
New member to the forum - good to be here! I am a 4th generation gold miner - origination Littlefield family of Sutter Creek, CA

My brother and I love the scent of gold and we follow our noses everywhere they take us. Last Saturday we we lead to the S. Fork of the American River and then the scent trail moved to the Bear River. We got flakes in every pan, albeit small ones, and took 8 buckets of stuff to process at home.

Looking forward to our next trip in a couple weeks. We are building a gold trap like the Bazooka ones, but WAY less expensive, made of aluminum. For $51 we got enough sheet aluminum to make 3 small ones or 2 medium sized ones.

Plan is to have one ready for deployment in the S. Fork of the American River.

Gonna shoot some video for y'all to enjoy while we are up there sniffing out the good stuff.

Stay cool fellow gold hunters!

If your constructing something like the "Bazooka" then that will be considered a dredge. Since dredging is banned in CA for now, don't get caught as I do not have any bail money for you.
