Northern New York and Some Pretty Digs

My buddies "diggin brains and Brooklyn Jim" were ready to go at 7;30 A.M. today. We hit a few parks that are just a few miles south of the Canadian border. That certainly explains the abundance of Canadian Pennies we are digging. The weather was really nice, Eighty degrees, sunny, and no humidity. This is the weather we were hoping for. We broke for lunch around 1 P.M.
By this time we had a few pieces of brass, copper, and clad in our pouches. We decided to take a look at what the local beach had to offer.
When we arrived we noticed another hunter at working the sand. He was soon joined by another hunter in a wet suit. They were from Vermont and hunted this beach all the time. Very friendly guys.
We stayed at the mile long beach for about 4 I/2 hours. Although this beach has been hammered by the Lake Champlain Metal Detecting Club, we still managed to find a few keepers. My 2 best finds of the day were dug out of the sand. (They were DEEP).
A 1914 Wheat Penny that is very clean and a STERLING ring that was Black. This is a fresh water lake.
