Northern Virginia Treasure for 2008

Well 2008 was pretty good for me. In 2007, I found 2800 coins and 32 rings. in 2008, I wanted to surpass that and ended up with 4100 coins and 43 rings. Many days I maxed out on deep-knee bends but I'm satisfied. I switched to the Ace 250 in March 08 and am happy with it, its a great gold and nickel machine. Not sure what 09 will bring, need to do more research this Winter but I do love to pull up the rings. 90% of my hunting has been in suburban parks, schoolyards and playgrounds. When people say that there's more money lost than is in the banks, I have to agree, the suburbs are carpeted with coins. On to a new year and see what it brings (2 hunts so far=2 rings!)

Pic 1: I like this Lord of the Rings ring. Although its not real gold, it started a string of 4 gold rings in a row in May 08. This is my second LOTR ring.

Pic 2: This ring ring had me dreaming of early retirement when it came up in January 08. Not real unfortunately, but it gave the old ticker quite a jolt.
