Not a Jew's Harp--so what do we have here?

Recently posted item on TODAY'S FINDS-have been advised to try this forum for help.

Found on a contact trade site but also found near an area where old structure sat for farming business. Extra nails and door hardware found.

Measures 4 inches long and the tangs?? look rusted together?? where the reed would have been?? Not a Jew's Harp!

Not a trade item possibly would have sat in this farm shed??

So any suggestions as to its use. Thanks!
