Not Even A Clue

I dug this up in a area where there was a presence of 1850's and 60's activities. It was found on an old camp, civilian. It is solid lead but in the back has a bit of iron in the center. That's what that little "knot" looking thing is. The iron is very little almost like maybe it was just a piece of wire. That's really all i can say about it, there is not marks of any kind. Any ideas is appreciated thank you.

That's what I was thinking too, despite thinking that it's smaller than a standard size (which may just be due to it being viewed outside its usual placement).

Maybe, but on the front, that circular part is raised which is interesting. The front also seems to have been slightly melted.
