Found a brick where a civil war era house used to be. There is a very well defined finger print in the brick, you can see every line in the print.

Some ole slave making the bricks left a personal touch

I think it's not only interesting but great too! You can't leave a much more personal on a relic than a fingerprint. :thumbsup:

I agree with everyone else here that is certainly a cool find. How did you manage to pick out a fingerprint on a brick? Seems like it could be kind of hard to spot unless one was examining it
 

Interesting for sure. I wonder how old that thing is?

I found a gold ring last year with a fingerprint on it. Some strange things out there.

 

That is a neat conversation piece.
 

I remember visiting an old plantation in SC last year that showed fingerprints on the bricks. It was mentioned that they came from the slaves that made the bricks. It seemed to be a common occurrence. Super special find.
