Would it be a safe guess that where there is a hem weight there could be silver? What years were hem weights used?

I forgot this. Any ideas about what it is?

The hem weight is probably not silver, but lead or some other base metal.

I know the hem weight is lead. I figure where they are found you could also find silver?
