Not sure if this is a buckle

Today I dug this bulls head what I think is a buckle..but I haven't seen any other antique buckles like it. Seems to be made of bronze.. about 2 inches long 1 1/4 long. Any info would be appreciated.

I'll bet it is a buckle, similar to this one.

yep --it uses a snake"s" type connecter --see if you can find the other half * they often used on sword belts
