I crushed some tailings found at an old mine on a claim of mine and ran it through the shaker table. I found some silvery stuff floating on the water. Anyone know what this is.
It's probably one of the sulfides, like galena. They float really well when finely ground. Add a couple drops of cheap dish soap or shampoo and they should separate/sink. Or,,, you could pour them off and check them for precious metal values. Just a thought.
