Not The Silver I Was Looking For........

But I'll take it Found in my front yard along with the other pic's.It's marked "Italy 925" and is 2ft. in length.This was,believe it or not found in an old plug,probably from my novice brother I also found part of an old shoe buckle,a Barnhardt button and an oddly shaped thimble.Anyway,it's the first silver from the new yard......Sorry Momma

Silver is always good! Nice little grouping of goodies! Does that thimble have anything written around the base? I have seen some early advertising thimbles that looked similar in shape to that one.

Good finds anyway Joe and it's a GOOD indication that silver coins are still there. If you can keep Colleen out of the yard while you are working,YOU might find that seated silver hiding there before she does-LOL. HH, Quindy.

I think with out seeing the top your thimble would date a little after you buckle frag which is late 18th century so early 19th would be my guess.All the ones I have found that are earlier have the waffle top other then the early tailors ones which are rings without a top.
