Being a tenderfoot, I can't expect the good stuff right away, but if didn't get out this morning to swing over a neighbors' property, I would never have seen the seven beautiful hot-air balloons over the lake. As an added bonus, one of the balloons landed in the very lot in which I was standing!! Had a nice chat with the captain and his crew and helped collapse the envelope.
Found some junk and learned more about the Excaliber. The lot was really trashy, so it gave me some experience with discrimination settings. Pretty soon I was digging fewer aluminum cans.
In the first pic are today's finds. What looks like an end from a fuse, a very large light bulb base, a lead sinker and some scrap that doesn't look (or sound off) like aluminum. In the second image are some finds from previous hunts while scuba diving the Rainbow River. The Timex (water resistant ;D) was actually flooded. I pried the back off and dried it on top of my stereo amplifier which, being huge, gives off a lot of heat. The Timex runs.
