Now living in New Bern

Started detecting while stationed in California, usually with a couple of digging buddies doing some long forgotten home sites in the mountains and a soccer field or ten. Continued with some very hard core mountain abandoned mine detecting in the Arizona mountains with a buddy. Have now moved to ENC to retire and I'm looking to find some active explorer digger buddies. Are there any active clubs between New Bern and Morehead City that anyone's aware of? Or anyone out there that likes to do some serious exploring for old home sites or potentially cool areas along the coast?
