NRA M1 rifle coin

I got a funky signal and dug up an NRA coin it has an M1 rifle on one side and some commemorative info on the other. It's about the size of a silver dollar. I think it's bronze. Does anybody know anything about this coin? Sorry there is no pic can't find my camera
