Odd aluminum badge

Aluminum diamond, red, with an "S" embossed into it.

Couldn't get the edges flattened back out without completely wrecking it.


Any ideas?

Any guesses? Found in a residential neighborhood that dates to the early 50s.

It looks more like a soda bottle cap to me.

Mystery deepens... Found another one last night. This one was pretty wrecked by a mower, but I can still see the red paint and the s. I'll agree that it does resemble a bottle cap, but it's much heavier gauge metal and diamond shaped...
