For while I have been going to my B of A's taking out a few hundred dollars, and asking if they have any halves at the same time.

Today, I get my statement, and see a whole bunch of $1 charges for "excessive service fee". This was kind of a bummer, and it will certainly cut down on my trips to the tellers. It's too bad, as they are all great people, and it was fun to chat with them. I suppose one of them must have gotten tired of me, but that's the way the world turns.

Happy hunting!

B of A not big on customer service huh? I would take it in and have a talk with a manager- either erase these charges or my $$$$$$$$ will be in the bank across the street by sundown. Thats worse than a fee to order boxes for you! I would get the charges erased and still pull my money just for spite.
Reminds ME of a story. Man goes to the bank to cash a check, since he had to park in the parking garage he asked the teller to validate his parking stub. She said they only validate when deposits are made and since he only cashed a check he would have to pay the parking. Next day he went back and pulled his accts (big $$$).

but it's bank of America, the best bank in the world. The one known for holding deposits so a check or two can bounce, that doesn't post payments to its' visa accounts so they raise rates and service charge their customers to the ground.

They're gonna get worse. bet on it. How else can they pay for buying WaMu without the CEO taking a little smaller bonus this year?

Think of it as having 1,000,000 people send you one dollar in one day. That's the odds they play.

Peace.

I have heard some bad stories about BOA regarding banking, etc., however I just get boxes from them. If a bank is willing to sell you boxes or take your dumps without fees as long as you are a customer, it makes sense to just have a small account and do the bulk of your banking (checking accts, loans, etc) at an institution that does things the way you like.

i definately would fight those charges....there are plenty of banks out there that allow you to order coins and dump them free of charge and without an account....you have an account there and they're going to charge you to do business with them...BULL$%!&

BoA is terrible even the Military got tired of them overcharging ridiculous fees. Everybody in the Air Force used to have a govt charge card from BoA, and as of 30 Nov we will no longer do business with them. I mean if the government won't even do business with you something is wrong.

I agree with Silver Stripe-- either they remove the charges or I'm (& my money are)outta there.

I would protest and split. Agree with all those that have commented so far, so not much left to say :)

OK, here's the deal. Apparently, if I make more than 3 withdrawals from Savings each month, I get hit with the fee. They said this does not apply to checking, so I will just put some more $$$ in checking, and that should take care of things.

Overall, my experience with B of A is good. The tellers are nice, and they order me lots of boxes.

Happy Hunting and Happy Thanksgiving!
