I found this piece by Curtis creek Maryland. I’m not exactly sure what it is but looks like a bracket of some sort. It’s very heavy looks like brass. There’s a number on the back but can’t quite make it ou

I looked up Curtis Creek Maryland. A lot about ships. If it's brass I would say it's part of something to do with a ship. Never heard of brass used for a wagon.

Self, I blew your pic up, and then enhanced the area of the number.

My guess is the number 1105. No idea if this is correct, but to me
it looks like a bearing cap of some sort.

Bearing cap is correct crankshaft
