ODD HALF DOLLAR

Was going through some of my half dollars and found this in the pile.
A 1983 Kennedy that somebody has either chromed or silver plated and also stamped with dates.
They actually hand stamped and did a pretty nice job.
Has anybody ever seen anybody go to this kind of trouble

I’ve seen lots of gold and silver plated half dollars when I was coin roll hunting. Not sure about the dates but it was probably some type of lucky coin given to someone on their birthday

I've yet to see one though I did find some gold plated quarters detecting

Haha looks identical to one I dumped 3 yrs ago. Interesting. The chrome edge had me fooled for a second but the colors all wrong. In MD btw

I have found a few of those and have them in my collection. I agree with Fistfulladirt. 20 year anniversary coin for Kennedy's Presidency.
