Odd looking Civil War General Service Button

I’m assuming this just looks odd because it’s been taco’d. to me it appears the eagles neck is longer than normal and the shield is smaller than usual. Maybe my eyes too. Either way still great save for me from a 1822 plantation home field. I’ll be back when I have more time to really dig in.

I'm just guessing out loud here.
If I was taco'd probably my neck would be stretched a tad also.
Not sure if the earlier versions had longer necks or not.
If possible post it up on th "What is it" forum then folks that like to research might be able to ID the era for you.
