✅ SOLVED Odd metal ball with point ??

Found deep in the wood in East Texas. Once old homestead.
Nothing else in the immediate area where I was searching but this
odd little ball.
It is magnetic so not lead. Irregularly shaped.
Has a point that is razor sharp. Heavy for it size.
Almost an inch wide.
What could it be??

Hard to tell from the pictures - does it have any roundness to it at all? The first wild guess that popped into my head was a piece of an old fence or gate. But the point seems awfully sharp for that...

...the way it seems to have been warn, I’m going to guess it’s the “clanger” part of a bell. The attachment “arm” has rusted away and this is all that’s left is that sharp little pokey part...

I think the point has rusted into that shape? I have seen other small pieces of iron rust into a point.
