I already posted this in my log, but I thought the general forum might appreciate it as well. Today, I had an interesting two silver roll in a mediocre set of boxes: I found a 2000 Ecuadorian half, a 90% Washington Commemorative half, and a 1970 40% all in one roll. I've found more silvers in a roll before, but I think this is my favorite set of finds from one roll.

weird.webp

I'm just happy to see my skunk streak end at 9 boxes.

Heck of a roll, and a walker. Good going!

:icon_thumleft: That is a nice find for 1 roll. What was the mint mark on the 1970? What is the year on the walker & does it have mint mark on it? I take it that the walker was also in your box. The half from Ecuador is most likely steel. That has been my experience with them. Getting 2 90s especially a commemorative is always a nice way to break a skunk streak.

Thanks. I recycled the picture from my log. I actually hunted 4 boxes yesterday. Two boxes were skunks, one box gave up the walker and the fourth box gave up the 2 40's and the washington. The 1970 is a D. I've found 4 1970D's and none of the S(?). I forget what the other mintmark from that year is. The other 3 1970D's in my collection all came from one box a couple months ago which was really odd.
I knew the Ecuador was a steel, I actually don't like finding foreigns in my half boxes, but in this case it kind of adds to the oddness of that one roll in an otherwise unremarkable box.

Thanks. My goal from the start back in February has been to get a full roll of as many types of silver coins as I can. I have 16 walkers now, so every time I find one I get happy because it's getting me closer to a full roll of them. I wish I was one of the lucky ones that randomly finds a full roll of walkers from a teller.

Very Nice! That Washington Commemorative half is greatness...I had to buy one just to see what they look like
