Odd pocket spill nets me my 1st ever Seated coin!

Went out to the woods for a few hours the last 2 days and found a bunch of relics and old coins. I started off finding my 1st multi IH spill (2 in 1 hole), then a V and so on. Well eventually I got a bouncy signal that went from coin to iron and back to coin. I get tons of these signals and I always dig them. Well at about 4-5" I dug a cool stack of coins. I could tell that the biggest coin was a Barber quarter and it had a nickle in the middle and a dime on the top. Well It turned out to be a 1898 q - 1899 V - 1885 seated dime all in an old coin stack!!! Finally after 3 years of hunting I finally got my seated coin!!!! I also found 2 pins in the same area, 1 is an eagle and the other is of Uncle Sam, enjoy. I'm still pumped about gettin that monkey off my back!!!

Congratulations Kermit on getting your first seated dime.

Are you sure it is an 85 and not a 65? Compared to that 1898 Quarter which appears almost new when it was dropped it seems like that dime exhibits alot more than 13 years of circulation.

Seated coins are always exciting but to get it with that nickel and quarter is really special. That 1898 quarter is really sharp. Rarely see them in that nice of condition. Look forward to seeing it if you are able to get the corrosion off the front.

Those patriotic pins are also cool. Maybe it was a 4th of July picnic site?
