Off to Montezuma

Went over to Montezuma yesterday. An old mining area now pretty much inhabited by ex-hippies who throw rocks at tourists who speed through. Last shot is my favorite campsite along Montezuma road. Lots of mining history here. The old stage road passes nearby. Detected out a lot of modern day change and a gold bracelet in the area, but nothin real cool. I'm pretty convinced the place is haunted, but the spooks don't show up all the time and are more aggravating than scary.

I didn't mention it, Spart, but did catch it, and figured you would be pretty quick to spot that with the letters. bluehunter, don't know if you've heard the term, but lots of 'trust fund babies' up here. They don't have to work a day in their lives. Of course, lots of folks who make their livin the old-fashioned way, gouging tourists!

Yea i have heard the term I have to work to damn much but I got a shed full of stops signs real cheap. Unless you live on a trust fund.

The folks in Montezuma are a pretty good bunch, and tolerate bein a runnin joke here in Summit Co. fairly well. For bein at the end of nowhere, they have an inordinate amount of tourist traffic through there in the summer, and speeding is a problem. There's kids, dogs, old hippies, and what have you that might be near the road. If they only had a coffee shop and a family named Hall living there, I would spend more time up there.
