It took my zip and I had just gotton back from getting gas and I had just gone to Murphys mostly they are the cheapest, and they were according to the site plus I duck into wally world first put $ on a gift card and its 3 cents less so I got gas this evening for $ 3.12 a gallon WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOE!

We go to Shreveport about once a month to shop on the base and of course hit the casinos if we have any money left over. Gas may not kill us while in town but the trip over and back does. Need to buy a more fuel efficient car. Speaking of gas, while there on Saturday, we found two gas station doing a gas battle and got gas for $3.08 went back on Tuesday and they was back up to $3.21.

While in Shreveport is our official eating out day also. So many good place to choose from... Saturday it was UGIFriday's Too bad you don't have a Tony Roma's.

Took me about 45 mins to get from the I220 exit though the construction zone on I20. Those of you coming across west to east on I20 will get to look a some purdy wildflowers. LOL

Also be aware the State Police are out in force.

Five troopers, three Sheriff, and one Local for 99 miles of interstate

The Hunt members won't have to worry about the restaurants and who to choose from.

Friday night is Fish Night: Crawfish, Catfish and Deer Chili, and something else for those who don't like fish or game.
Saturday night is Good Night: Baby-Back Ribs, Louisiana Gumbo, jumbo shrimp sauteed, and something else for those who don't like ribs or gumbo or shrimp
Sunday night is Pork Night: Nice pork steak spiesbratens, duck special w/rice, and leftovers and other stuff.

Don't even tell me you don't like to eat good food. I don't want to hear 'diet' that weekend!

I did want to tell you guys that before you hit the road, you need to be aware that there are speed traps in three towns closest to me.

Rayville - Not too bad, but don't go more than 5 mph over limit. They lurk.
Mangham and Baskin - If you're coming from the south. Big time speed traps. They mean it. 45 mph.
LA 15 from Monroe - Between Hwy. 165 and Alto, be alert. Prison out there, and they patrol.
I-20 - They're looking for drugs. If you're hauling those, just keep going. We don't need 'em.

With all that good food --- what is the eat vs detecting ratio to burn off the calories? Hmm. I think we will need more then a weekend of detecting. Starting to fill sorry for those who have to drive home on a stuffed belly.

It will go something like this: Well I am stuffed. Well I am too. Can you loosen that seat belt up some? Drive slower and miss the potholes. I need a nap. Etc.
