So younger siblings wanted to go try to catch a snake today in the woods we're walking down this path towards and stream, recently they were ripping up some of this land for sewer pipes. So we walked where they did a big cut, sun shined real nice off of this little guy and caught my eye. Sorry these pics are crappy and don't do it justice lol (dang phones :tongue3:) And if this is quartz what type would it be, never seen any like this. :headbang: Thanks guys and gals :) :headbang:

Prety colors,:dontknow:

Looks like rose quartz to me,it is rather pretty! God Bless Chris

Possibly rose quartz. It was highly prized by prehistoric Americans for its beauty. Whatever it is, it's a great find!

Yes, I would agree. Looks like a nice chunk of rose quartz. Usually i don't find it nearly that nicely colored

Im a geologist and cant tell from those pictures..the pictures look like rose quartz with garnet haha but that wouldnt be right. Garnet is mainly is diorite, granite, etc. usually mixed in with feldspars and micas

Id go with a hunk of just plain rose quartz. How big is it exactly..looks like it would be nice if you cleaned it up a bit.
