Hello All. I found this item at a 1920's farm house. It looks to be made of copper and there are no markings or engraving on it. I can see saw marks inside where the slit was cut into the end. The studs were not inserted, they appear to have been formed as part of the entire piece.

Anyone recognize this thing or do you think it was specially made for some forever-to-be-unknow purpose?

Thanks for the view and HH. C9

Odd that you can't see the head of the screws or studs on the other side of it. My thought is a decorative piece off some kind of arts and craft design furniture. Other then that I've no clue what that was made for.
