Looks like they were running into trouble with all the little steps on it and like they said used it as a scraper. Good looking tool though.

It may be an adena which has been resharpened down to the present form.

I have found a number of points, sharpened down to be strange looking. I have two frames of what appears to be specialized tools, which may of been small points which where sharpened into bizarre shapes as part of a tool kit. For what I have no idea, but I used to find these points in two particular fields in Missouri.

Thanks for the replies dog, doug, tn and viking. I thought Adena shape as soon as I picked it up but it seemed like it was aweful thick. All the feedback makes sense to me. Thanks again.
