I'll take a guess and call it some type of hafted scraper.. Maybe?? Interesting piece and material, thanks for the look.
 
Looks like they were running into trouble with all the little steps on it and like they said used it as a scraper. Good looking tool though.
 
It may be an adena which has been resharpened down to the present form.

I have found a number of points, sharpened down to be strange looking. I have two frames of what appears to be specialized tools, which may of been small points which where sharpened into bizarre shapes as part of a tool kit. For what I have no idea, but I used to find these points in two particular fields in Missouri.
 
Thanks for the replies dog, doug, tn and viking. I thought Adena shape as soon as I picked it up but it seemed like it was aweful thick. All the feedback makes sense to me. Thanks again. :headbang:
