Found it today. It is about the size of a dime but thinner. Any ideas? Thanks

Does the back look like it has been a lapel or hat pin? My guess would be a music symbol. A lyre. Thanks for sharing.

The back has the same pattern and I do not see where it may have had a clip.

It's what's left if a 1800's pickle fork . They have three prongs and it appears that your's where broke and the handle at the bottom . They were very-very tiny and I have one complete but it's not quite as fancy .. IMHO , Woodstock
But under closer examination I think it's a music holder or whats left of it . Maybe small cause it might have been attached to a Clarinet . HH , Woodstock
