This was in the bottom of a box from a pallet we got last week. Not quite sure what it is? Guessing something to do with ammo/bullet making or something like that? It's very heavy for it's size & it's not magnetic. Looks to have a brass rod running thru it. Doesn't seem to go to or with anything else in the pallet. Anyone know what it is or what it goes to? I bet one of ya does!

It doesn't look like any bullet mold I have seen. <scratching head>

What makes you think it has to do with ammunition? Did the people you bought it off from say that?

I am intrigued as well.

Found it in the bottom of a box we bought in a pallet at a big local auction, no other info. The inside of the big holes just looks like the general shape of a large bullet. Otherwise nothing, I mean it makes no since of how it could be used to make ammo cause it doesn't open up or anything. It's high quality stainless I guess, to heavy to be aluminum. It's not magnetic & I have no idea what it is or what it's for.

Part of some sort of hydraulic valve ? It would have small pistons in the holes that move back & forth. No threaded holes in the sides so I'm guessing it's an unfinished reject from a machine shop. What else was in the box ?

It a 2 way equalizing block for the inside of a hydraulic switch. That is If the round plug on the back pushes in.

Maybe?

The round plug does not move, or I can't make it move... It looks like it had glue on each end (there's still alot of it left that you can see in the last picture, like it was glued to something & whatever it was glued to covered the ends of the plug thing.

But I think you guys are prolly right. There was nothing else remotely similar to it in the boxes.
