The jury is still out, but, who is the winner?
I have watched both the Diggers, and now Dig Fellas and have to decide which I like better. Please remember they are entertainment! Both shows have to keep the audience entertained, even though at times they are so zany but you still end up watching. One thing I enjoy about both shows is the historic side. You actually hear facts that you may have not known. Are the artifacts planted, set-up's, or whatever?

Another popular show is Pawn Stars. This is the same theme, that is, artifacts, history, entertainment. The artifacts that are brought in have already been rehearsed, researched, and hand picked as to which ones will be aired! The cast, (The old man, Rick, Big Hoss, and Chumlee), are only at the store for taping shows, not on a daily basis. Not knocking the show but, again, entertainment.

OK, and with all that being said, who wins, Diggers or Dig Fellas?

Rich

Neither.

I'm happy to say that I've at least done my part in NOT watching one reality show on television.

That makes me a winner! :hello2:

Cheers,
Dave.

We are all the losers for those shows being on the air.

My wife watched a "Diggers" show with me last night. About 10 mins. in she said "Those guys are full of s.... ." She about summed it up. Never seen the other show.

Watched Diggers but here in Canada I can't get Dig Fella's but have seen several clips.
Just on that I'd have to go with Dig Fella's.

I agree D is the answer-I would rather be out detecting than sitting and watching tv. But that's just me

Wouldn't you love to have a silver dollar for each time you've been asked if you watch one of these? I always give the person my most disgusted look and tell them " No! I don't watch that crap. It isn't real."

I simply can't watch those shows. Although not a series, I'll never forget the "Finding Jesses James Treasure" or whatever the show was called - they found gold and silver coins and started rubbing the dirt off of them with their fingers scratching the hell out of them...I was screaming at the TV...can't watch fools on TV; too painful.

The advertisers! I will not pay to watch tv and then put up with advertising.

Diggers was the first legit show So I say they are the best.

after that the idea was stolen and repeated by Dig Wars & dig Fellas,
and although I'm OK with both

I still consider the producers of thoes Thieves for
stealing ideas instead of coming up with something original,
like "Stripper wars"

Not sure who the winner is, but is certainly isn't us.

LOL!!! And she was right! Someone linked the show where they were searching spots that Billy the Kid stayed or holed up and I watched about half of it. Within a few minutes, I knew that these guys were more full of sh&^ than a Thanksgiving Turkey! Every signal they got, it was "this is Billy the Kid's this" or "this is Billy the Kid's what" or "could this be Billy the Kid's so and so". I'd rather watch another season of Lost! At least I knew that the writers and the entire audience including myself, had no clue as to what the storyline was or what was coming up next but it gave it mystery.
