Found this very ornate piece of metal, not sure what it is or how old it is.

Pretty worn, somewhat heavy.




The last picture hints copper?

With only one side decorated (meant to be seen), I'd guess part of an ornate picture or mirror frame. Maybe late Victorian? But I don't feel strongly that either of these thoughts are correct, so what do others think?
