Old 2 piece buckle?

Got out for a couple hours today. I hunted for an hour or so at a site that has been producing several flat buttons, pieces of shoe buckles, pewter spoons ect.
I wasnt having any luck (besides shotgun shells) until my at pro showed a steady 60. So i proceded to dig what i thought was another beer tab when this beautiful 2 piece buckle? popped out!! Not sure about the age but its cool. Looks like a ram or a dog on it. I found he flat button about 20 ft from the buckle. Thanks for looking. Any info would be appreciated.

Yeah david680 is right, its a drawer pull of a piece of furniture. Still a cool find though.

I really like the old cast furniture/hardware. Stuff like that really adds a considerate depth to something like a hodge podge display.

Yeah the only reason i was leaning toward buckle is once fitted together there is no movement period. It locks in place and will not swing foward or backwards. Thanks for looking!

That a nice drawer pull!

You have it put together wrong, the pull part should swing back and rest on the little "nub" or stop at the bottom, not behind it.
