Started hunting a new site that is on the 1891 map as the grounds of an agricultural society. Today it is baseball fields and a football field. You can still see the outline of the old oval that must have been a horse track. Put in 5 hours yesterday and scored several large silvers as well as a 1906 Canadian Large Cent. A few more hours today yielded 2 Mercs and an 1865 2 cent piece. The coins were all found within the old oval or just on the outside edge. Can't wait to get out next weekend and try further away from the oval.

nice!...good research, nice silver haul!...good luck on your return, looks like a great spot!

Looks like you've hit a potential mother lode. I wish you continued success at that site.

And where, exactly, did you say this new site is? Geographic coordinates would be appreciated...

That's not some silver- That's a TON of silver!!! Congrats in a big silver way !
