Old Anchor identification.

Not sure if this is the forum for this but here it goes. I have an old anchor at my new house I purchased and have no idea what approx year, type of ship it might have came from. I would like to tell people a little info on it when they ask instead of just saying it's old. What year, value, etc. I assume it came from NC, SC, GA Florida coast. Its around 6' tall and 4' from one side to the other. Has a ring on top that I assume used to move. Thank you

Your trees and the anchor are standing horizontal, that is amazing to me!

There are several threads here that include details on anchor identification. Given these images, it would be difficult, but if you look at those reference guides, I am certain you would be able to determine the anchor, and/or given the differences illustrated in the guides, provide images that would allow others to confirm.

Hi Champlain

The Big Ring indicates that an anchor line and no chain was used, so he is really old.
Probably from a boat before the beginning of the 19th century.

You will find that the weight, and the anchor shape are important...the bottom curve/ 'v' angle and config are not really evident in your pictures.
