The weather in Baltimore turned out better than expected.

I headed to a city park and started out by grid searching a corner of a soccer field. Not much turned up - a couple deep wheats and one relic, a stamped brass drawer pull that is a basket of fruit motif, complete with pull.

I abandoned the grid and headed east to an open area between fields and started out finding a plated cross. Next good target turned out to be the silver that has been eluding me for awhile now - a 1939D mercury dime....very sweet. I also dug more wheats, some of these from the 20s and then a mid-tone signal turned out to be my century-breaker of the day, an 1890 V-nickel.

One item dug from a late hunt on Sunday is the 1979 S SBA dollar; this "S" is the filled variety.

Thank you for checking out the finds and Happy Hunting!

Thx Scruggs! That dime was a "dig it all" signal; I never would have called it a silver dime.

I'm absolutely appalled by the disrespect you have shown to Susan although she is kinda dirty . l Love Mercury dimes but she is kinda creepy looking too. Good job an the finds.Bro

Thx Tommy! I have nothing against Susan.....I'll never complain about digging a dollar. :) Let's say she looks stern....a very chiseled visage.

In due time my friend! We have a ways to go on this earth before the true treasures get revealed. :tchest:

Nice group of finds! Well done, Congrats and HH

Mike, Looks like you found the old dirt again. Great looking bunch of finds. Love the old merc and any time you can pull a dollar from the field, it's a blessing even though it's one of the ugliest dollars ever made. Hopefully you'll be able go back and pound the area some more. Congrats.
