The weather in Baltimore turned out better than expected.
I headed to a city park and started out by grid searching a corner of a soccer field. Not much turned up - a couple deep wheats and one relic, a stamped brass drawer pull that is a basket of fruit motif, complete with pull.
I abandoned the grid and headed east to an open area between fields and started out finding a plated cross. Next good target turned out to be the silver that has been eluding me for awhile now - a 1939D mercury dime....very sweet. I also dug more wheats, some of these from the 20s and then a mid-tone signal turned out to be my century-breaker of the day, an 1890 V-nickel.
One item dug from a late hunt on Sunday is the 1979 S SBA dollar; this "S" is the filled variety.
Thank you for checking out the finds and Happy Hunting!
