It's been a while since I've done some coin shooting, been busy at a very productive relic site most of the year. I drove past an old ball field I was hunting until the city took it over for doing some street work. Last week I ended up driving by and noticed all the piles of dirt and equipment were gone and it had been leveled off. There was a sign there that had the project managers phone number on it, so, I called him and told him my interest in the property and why. He said he would call me back and let me know who I needed to contact to hunt the place again. I knew what that meant, goodbye sucker
3 days later I went back and the sign was gone and the gate was open
I've been able to hunt here before the city started using it, so........
I had some spare time today so I headed to a spot that had always been overgrown and was now bare dirt. Here I was able to hit a wheaty and a couple of pieces of clad. I decided to hit an area that was also grown over and was also bare. I managed to find a silver quarter, 4 wheats and some clad. I had to run an errand, but had my mind was made up to come back. Within a couple of hours I hit a silver rosie, 6 more wheats and some more clad. Over all it turned into a very satisfying hunt, always feels that way when there's silver in the pouch
