image.webpHi guys. I found an old beltbuckle in an area with lost of civil war activity. It is made of brass, and I tried cleaning it up but it didn't help much. And ideas about the age or if you recognize it, I would sure appreciate the help. Thank you!image.webp

doesn't look like any belt buckle I've ever seen. just from the shape of it, it looks more like a rain cap from an exhaust pipe

I think I know what that is. It looks like the latch off of a ledger. It has the insert portion broken off.

It has a little metal part that goes between the two forks, and a screw to hold it to the belt holes I think. I thought so too, but it resembles a belt Buckle too. Will definetly look at the tractor exhaust cover too. Thanks!

It certainly is unlikely it is a belt buckle. How about a size reference? Unlikely to be CW also, and definitely not a CW belt buckle.
