Old bracelet from the Congo

Pretty sure it's elephant hair and ivory. I've owned since the '60's. Can anyone shed more light on this item?

That's what it looks like. Made of ivory and braided hair of some kind. I'd call it a "Me Tarzan you Jane" bracelet. You can't sell it on eBay would be the other thing I'd know about it. You owned it for 60 years. Do you recall how it came to you?
