Nice finds congrats your key is in one piece

Great Job Keith! The key and old car are some nice prizes. Hot Wheels racing cars had fat, hard plastic tires on them to move down the track. Your car may be older than Hot Wheels, (pre-1968) and with those skinny tires, may be a "Matchbox" brand of toy car. Is there stamping underneath it? Sub 8-)

Congratz on one great looking skeleton key!

Congrats on those digs. :occasion14: I concur with Sub, you should turn the car over, the brand should be embossed. I enjoy digging older toys i.e. tootsie toys. The key is a killer find and as Jeff says, you dug your gas rebate.

I've been on this forum since last fall and for whatever reason I REALLY like dug toy cars...yours is cherry. Grats

Awesome finds!!!

I like that old skeleton key and car.

Congrats on a Super hunt.
I think you may have a Tootsie Toy Car.
The tires become very brittle with age. Be very careful with them

The Tootsie Car consisted of 7 parts. The steel cast body. 4 wheels and 2 axles.
Turn it over and gently flush it with water. If it is a Tootsie Toy, You will not find a manufacturer's mark.

Cool key and nice car find! Congratualtions!

Thanks Everyone ! ! The car was not very old it was a 2000 hot wheels 1962 ferrari,,, still its 16 years old kinda cool. That key I found that key in my front yard ! ! Now if i could only find the Chest it went to ! ! :)

The skeleton key is the prize of the day! Congrats and GL.
