Hi all, ive been out of the loop for a few days as my old pc crashed this weekend and I had to buy a new one.
Went back to my Colonial site on Saturday where I recently dug my cannonball and CSA button.
Ended up with my second 3" iron ball, 2 possible shoe buckles "one of which is kinda detailed, if in fact it is a shoe buckle it is my most detailed one yet", some lead musketballs, and a cool old brass boot spur that I also just posted in the what it it section.
One of the last pics has all 3 balls found from this site shown.
Any info on these items would be greatly appreciated.
Went and tried a real promising site sunday just down from the site we have been hunting and found a lot of fill dirt.
I was told Andrew Jacksons name was on the original land deed and the site was a confederate infirmary.
We did find an old well in the woods, but that area was littered with trash, as I think homeless people had been living back there.
Ended the day with a tax token, a silver religious pin, and a wheatie. Not what I was looking for.
Thanks
