I heard the distinctive sound of silver when dumping a plastic roll in a boxtop to be sorted Friday night. I wasn't paying attention or looking at them so it kind of jolted me like an alarm clock. I saw this bright six pence in the pile and said "Merry Christmas!" I looked it up and discovered it is 50% silver. I imagine it may have been in a jar with old pennies and probably came back with a WWII vet. Silver was the last thing I expected among pennies!
