Old Buckle and part of a Silver plated pocket watch

Found a site that was suppose to be an old slave plantation as well as a stop over for civil wars armies. Today it is a fishing spot and it mostly trashed with beer cans sinkers and fish hooks. But up in the hills I started finding real old thing. This is going to be a good hunting spot and it is huge.

Found this buckle and old silver plated pocket watch both have writing on them.

The watch has writing that says Alert Warranty 20 years:




Looks like the buckle is a civil war suspender buckle

Looks like the watch from the serial number found after cleaning it more puts the age @ 1864 or a little older. Went back to the site found a copper grommet a couple foot away from where I found these. Seems the earth changes after a rain and you can find more things in the same areas
