This is one of my wife's first solo finds so any help would be appreciated. The penny in one pocture is go size comparison. Was found in a field. The off sets in the metal are equal in both sides making me think a buckle. If yall have any insight as to what this buckle may have come from or time period id appreciate it. Or if you thinks its something different. 20150528_143826.webp20150528_143756.webp20150528_143742.webp1167762[/ATTACH]

2MN thanks for your reply.

The only thing about that buckle is this is heavy metal and was about 4 inches deep in a field. Anything is possible but its awfully clunky do the 80's id think

It was the first thing that came to mind when I looked at the photos :). Maybe an old bottle opener? I'm just guessing. Throwing out ideas to look at.
