Dug this buckle yesterday in a historic area of a St. Louis County town.
Any idea what it was used for?

Based on it's size and shape (which is unusual) I'm thinking it's 'suspender related'. :icon_scratch:

Definitely a suspender buckle. Don't know anything about age.

Not found in water but the area was saturated and muddy.
