Old Bugle Mouthpiece

found this old bugle mouthpiece on a farm in NC. Anyone know the approximate age or any other relevant information about it? Thx.

Looks very much like the original style Boy Scout bugle. Has the "waist" for a chain attachment.

I don't know. Would not be surprised the Boy Scouts used WWI surplus equipment - or even war dept spec bugles. They were started in 1910.

Are there any initials on it (see link below for manufacturer's and dates of operation).
