My buddy (rob.iv) and I found these interesting objects near the site of an old railroad depot. The bullet looks to be pre-1900. The other object appears to be brass and is heavy. Maybe a machine part or a cannon cradle. I don't know. It is stamped in two places 597. We are new at treasure hunting and our hands were literally shaking as we pulled our treasure from the holes. It's probably not great finds but to us they are awesome. Lol please help with the identification if you can. Thanks

Bullet looks to be 1920's to present. Metal piece may be an inside brake shoe.

Need to measure the diameter of the bullet in thousands of an inch if you want to know the caliber.
