Anyone know in what year(s) and firearm this bullet was used? Found close to an old military site. It weighs 29 grams, is about an inch long and approximately 14mm or 9 1/16" in diameter. It's a bit damaged, so, exact measurement might not be able to be determined. The tip has been X'd lightly, probably after it was cast.

Carved 3 ringer for sure!! Most likely a .58 cal,nice save :icon_thumright:

Where's the third ring? I have a 3 ringer, but, it looks different than this one.

Does look like one ring was carved off. Maybe it is a homemade cleaner round??

Definitely carved by a soldier. Bored soldiers would carve bullets to relieve tension. The third ring was carved off. The soldier in this case never meant to represent something, but just whittle at something until he was called to duty. Awesome find!
